Sengkang West Road

How many roads are there in Singapore? Flip through any copy of the street directory and you will find out that there are more than 5000 over roads.

Today, Zai@Sengkang is going to show you a new road - Sengkang West Road. Sengkang West Road starts from Yio Chu Kang Road cuts through the exisiting Seletar West Farmway and join up with Tampines Expressway (TPE).

On 1 Aug 2011, LTA had awarded the construction of Sengkang West Road from Yio Chu Kang to TPE (Contract No.ER 369) to Jin Choon Civil Engineering Pte Ltd. Value of tender awarded is S$18,573,000.00.

The construction is still on-going. After completion, motorists will have to enter Jalan Kayu via Sengkang West Ave and not Yio Chu Kang Road. Fernvale Lane and Sengkang West Ave will also be extended to connect with Sengkang West Road.
